Managing Director, Ryan Eastwood, recently caught up with our friends over at Barnsley Hospice, who we have been supporting now for several years.
“When a friend or relative spends time at the hospice, you see first-hand the quality of the care they receive, and it makes you realise how important it is to support the hospice.
“I find it absolutely staggering that a charity which provides such a vital service has to raise over £2m every year just to stay open. That’s why as a company we have always chosen to support Barnsley Hospice. We have also recently pledged to provide the hospice with free copying and printing supplies for the next five years which we estimate will save them up to £8,700.
“Most people in the local area will experience the work of Barnsley Hospice at some point in their lives. As a local business, I think it’s essential that we support them because it’s such a good cause and relies on donations to stay open,” Ryan said.
Over the last few years now Copier Systems having been holding annual Golf Days to raise money for Barnsley Hospice, last year raising £630. We also sponsor a station at the annual Bubble Rush fundraiser and in previous years have entered a team into Barnsley Hospice’s own Golf Day (see photo above).
In 2020, Copier will continue it’s support of the Hospice, including taking on its Three Peaks challenge.
